Reviewer Guidelines
Reviewers should provide fair, evidence-based, constructive and timely assessment while protecting manuscript confidentiality.
- Accept reviews only when appropriate expertise and time are available.
- Declare relevant conflicts of interest before reviewing.
- Do not use unpublished manuscript information for personal advantage.
- Assess methods, reporting, interpretation, originality and relevance rather than author identity or status.
- Identify major and minor concerns clearly and avoid personal or disrespectful comments.
- Disclose suspected research or publication-integrity concerns privately to the editor.
Use of generative AI in review
Reviewers must protect confidential manuscript content. Manuscripts or identifiable unpublished material should not be uploaded to external generative-AI services unless the journal has explicitly authorized a secure workflow.
